Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a therapeutic tool which can help to relieve depression, anxiety, stress, addictions and phobias. The EFT technique involves holding a disturbing memory or emotion in mental focus and simultaneously using the fingers to tap on specific meridian points on the body. As living organisms, at a quantum physical level, we consist of energy particles which generate an energy field. The theory behind EFT is that negative emotions are caused by disturbances in the body's energy field and that by tapping on the meridians while thinking of a negative emotion, we can readdress the energetic balance in the body's energy field.

While quantum physics recognises the significance of energy in the universe, it is still quite uncommon in everyday terms to think of energy rather than of solid objects. The disarmingly effective results produced with EFT, however, are challenging our material perception of the world.
